What personal information does the Trust collect about you?
The Trust usually only collects basic personal data (including name, postal address, telephone number and email address) about individuals who are (or are employed by) our stakeholders and suppliers.
We collect this data through a variety of ways, including:
- directly from the individuals themselves via email and our website;
- from desk-based research into stakeholders with an interest in topics covered by the Trust’s work;
- via recommendations from other stakeholders.
Why does the Trust process personal data?
When you express an interest in our work by contacting us via email or our website, we use your email address to contact you about our work.
We also contact professionals who have asked to be kept informed about out work, or those who have a specific interest in the areas in which we specialise.
What is our legal basis for the processing
We process this data on the basis of both our legitimate interest, including fulfilling our charitable objectives, with due regard for the interests of the data subject. We only contact individuals who have asked to be kept informed or professionals who have a specific interest in our work, who would reasonably expect us to use their email and / or postal address in this way.
Where we have a contractual relationship with you, we may process your personal information as necessary for the performance of that contract or prior to entering into it.
What do we do with your data?
All the personal data that we process is handled by our employees who are based in the UK. All our employees are subject to an obligation of confidentiality and are aware of our data protection policies.
We do not carry out any automated decision making and we do not transfer data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
We do not share data with any other organisation but we do use Eventbrite, a third-party provider to manage our event guest lists.
When you request to attend one of our events, Eventbrite, will receive your contact details to allow us to fulfil this request.
You can unsubscribe to event invitations and mailings at any time by replying to the email or by emailing Jayne Desmond at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How does the Trust protect data?
The Trust takes the security of your data seriously. It has internal policies and controls in place to ensure that your data is not lost, accidentally destroyed, misused or disclosed, and is not accessed except by our employees or service provider (Eventbrite), subject to an obligation of confidentiality and in the proper performance of their duties.

Information for Visitors to our Website
When someone visits www.resolutiontrust.org we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to analyse the effectiveness of our site by tracking, for example, the number of visitors to different sections. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Event Attendee Images and Live Streaming
While we do not intend to photograph event attendees, at all our events, photographers will be taking images of event speakers and the event may be live streamed on YouTube. No attendee image is explicitly captured and processed but event attendees may occasionally be captured when photographing or filming events. All event attendees are informed of this possibility on event ticketing information. Event photographers and film makers are informed they should focus on event speakers only. Event images selected for inclusion on website crop out any event attendees and live streaming cameras are positioned to exclude capturing images of event attendees where possible. Any images of event attendees inadvertently captured in event photographs and live streaming footage is used on the basis of our legitimate business interest. Resolution Service Management Ltd, the company that owns 2 Queen Anne’s Gate where our office is located and where we hold most of our events, uses CCTV cameras for security purposes. There are four cameras in the following locations: one outside the building on the left hand side of the front door, one in the ground floor reception area, and two overlooking the garden at the rear of the building. Access to footage is limited to security staff only.
We offer access to Wi-Fi for guests to use when visiting our office or attending our events. When you use the Trust’s Wi-Fi, we may collect data about your device, the volume of data you use, the websites and applications you access, and your usage by access time, frequency and location.
